RXR Chronicles
How a holiday meet at King Shocks became the tour's beating heart
Birch Street Belongs to the Rigs
RXR Chronicles is the official magazine of Rodeo x Rigs — build features, event recaps, and stories from the off-road and overland community, published by the Trail Wolves crew.
Birch Street Belongs to the Rigs
Mid-April in Downtown Brea rumbled with aggressive tires and roaring engines as hundreds of custom vehicles rolled in — and a city block turned into a festival.
Armored Tacomas nose-to-tail with trail Broncos. Full overland setups with rooftop tents still dusty from the last run. Builds made to perform in the wild, not just look good in a parking lot — and for one Saturday, all of them parked on Birch Street like they owned it. Because for a day, they did.
The City of Brea didn't just permit the takeover; it partnered on it. Families filled the sidewalks between the rigs, the kids zone ran at capacity, and the BMX and MTB demos pulled crowds three deep.
That's the thing outsiders miss about this community. It isn't a car show with a charity angle bolted on. It's a crew that happens to bring its trucks. The same people wrenching on portal axles at 7 a.m. were running the raffle table by noon — and the money, as always, went back out the door to causes the community picked.
By sundown, when the last rigs idled off Birch Street, the question wasn't whether Brea would have RXR back. It was how much bigger next year's footprint gets.
